It's been a busy few weeks! I'm finding it harder and harder to find time to get on the computer and check email, let alone blog. But I want to make sure I keep it up so I can go back and "remember" what life was like at this stage when my memory has completely failed me.
Adelyn is growing SO fast and changing daily. She'll be 4 months on Wednesday...how is that possible? She's losing her hair, which Anabelle did, all except for the base of her head. Quite the mullet. I can't bring myself to post a picture of it. She rolled over the other day from her back to her front and is constantly "talking." Sarabeth & Anabelle love that she's more interactive now that she smiles and giggles at them. Too cute! The big girls are staying busy with school and swim lessons, and I'm trying to stay afloat (pardon the pun!) It's a good busy, though.
A couple of weeks ago we went to Branson, MO for the annual Christian Brothers Convention. We took Adelyn with us and dropped Sarabeth & Anabelle off at my parents for the week. The past few years this has truly been a vacation for me (Josh always has to work, but I get to relax & visit with friends!) This year was different having the baby with us. I saw a lot of the inside of our hotel room! She was SO good the whole trip but it's always a challenge being away from home with kids. The girls had a great time in OKC and enjoyed the constant attention from their Nana & OG.
We started swim lessons the day after we got back. We're going to Gulf Shores in June and I wanted them to be comfortable around the water before we get down there. They're LOVING it! I'm not convinced they'll be able to swim by the end of it, but they'll at least have some water safety skills and confidence around the pool. I'll have pics if I ever remember to take my camera to the pool with us :)
Our latest little hobby is planting. I got the girls some starter garden kits for Easter that they've really enjoyed, so we went to Home Deopt to get some more flower pots & potting soil. It's fun to see them take ownership and responsibility. They want to check them every day to make sure there's enough water & sun to make their plants grow, plus it's a great way to spend some extra time outside.
Well that about sums it up. I'm sure I've forgotten something, but that will leave me with another post.
I love this picture. Adelyn likes covering her face when she sleeps. She's trying to bury her face in the swing to keep her paci in while snuggling with a burp cloth.

Just thought this was a cute pic. The girls wanted a picture with their matching shoes. Both pairs were hand-me-downs from different people, and happen to be the right size for both girls. What are the odds?!
