It's been a while since I've posted anything, so here's a summary of our last few weeks.  Josh & I went to Scottsdale last week for the Christian Brothers annual convention and had a blast.  He had to work most of the time while I...well...laid by the pool.  Don't feel too sorry for him though.  He did get to play golf 3 times while we were there!  The girls stayed with my parents in OKC and loved it!  We're glad to be home, though we're going to Houston for a wedding this weekend.  Josh is already there working and I'm flying down tomorrow.  We debated taking the girls but it would be a lot of juggling them back & forth between friends & family in Houson, so Josh's parents were kind enough to keep them for us.  After this we're home for a while though!  Here are some cute pics from the past few weeks...nothing too exciting though :)

Naptime Activities

This title in itself should be a contradiction.  I've never understood why children fight sleep.  To me, it's the best thing in the world.  Give me a chance to nap and I'm out all afternoon.  Not the case for sweet Sarabeth.  She's phasing herself out of a nap and only sleeps about twice a week.  The rest of the days she plays, reads stories, and sometimes gets much much more creative.  Here were her activities today during naptime...

- Empty a whole bottle of shampoo out into her sink
- Pour water onto the carpet, bathroom floor, a dresser drawer (filled with clothes), her windowsill...I'll continue the list as we figure out where else...
- Empty a whole roll of toilet paper into the toilet
- Two accidents

She had a perfectly good explanation for them..."I got to!" which means that she HAD to do it.  Uh huh.

Music Time

The girls LOVE to sing.  Anabelle's favorite song right now is Jesus Loves Me while Sarabeth's favorite is Baa Baa Black Sheep.  It's rare that they're in the mood to sing for the camera so I only have a performance from Anabelle to share.  Here's her own short version of Jesus Loves Me (with a little help from mom)...

Anabelle style

Anabelle is a little sponge, soaking up everything we say or do.  She & Sarabeth have started having their own little conversations, and they're hilarious.  I need to carry around a pencil & paper to write them down because I rarely remember them later.  Their new thing is to run around the house saying each other's names.  Anabelle's latest response to Sarabeth yelling "ANABELLE!" is, "yes honey?"

The fun of a 3 year old

We were having a relaxed Sunday afternoon.  The girls were playing together when all of a sudden I hear Sarabeth yelling.

Sarabeth:  Mom!  I got somepin (something) on my leg!
me: what is it?
Sarabeth:  It's somepin!  I can't move my leg!

I walk over expecting to find she's had an accident, or her pants are on wrong, anything but this.  She had a dust bunny on her knee.  I never knew a dirty house could be so paralyzing.
